<br /><!--#html #-->Die <font color="#b41e8c">outstanding artist awards</font> des Bundesministeriums für Unterricht, Kunst und Kultur werden jährlich für herausragende Leistungen vorwiegend an Künstlerinnen und Künstler der jüngeren und mittleren Generation vergeben.
<br /><br />
<b>Die Auszeichnungen in 13 Kategorien gehen an:</b><br />
<!--#html #-->Gregor Neuerer (Künstlerische Fotografie), kozek hörlonski - Thomas Hörl und Peter Kozek (Bildende Kunst), Thomas Kriebaum (Karikatur und Comics), Klub Zwei - Simone Bader und Jo Schmeiser (Video- und Medienkunst), Martin Prinz und Clemens Setz (Literatur), Helga Bansch (Kinder- und Jugendliteratur), Thomas Wally (Musik), Chris Haring (Darstellende Kunst), Saskia Wendland (Modepreis), Lina Dokuzovic (Interdisziplinarität) und den Verein Culture2Culture für das internationale Frauen-Animationsfilm Festival Tricky Women (Frauenkultur). In der Kategorie Interkultureller Dialog werden CABULA6 - Verein für Kunstprojekte für das Projekt "Life on Earth" und Nina Kusturica für den Film "Little Alien" ausgezeichnet. Im Bereich Film erhalten Michaela Grill (Avantgardefilm) und Anja Salomonowitz (Dokumentarfilm) den <span style="color:#b41e8c">outstanding artist award</span>.
