<!--#html #-->Die <font color="#b41e8c">outstanding artist awards</font> des Bundesministeriums für Unterricht, Kunst und Kultur werden jährlich für herausragende Leistungen vorwiegend an Künstlerinnen und Künstler der jüngeren und mittleren Generation vergeben.

<strong>Die PreisträgerInnen sind:</strong><br />
<!--#html #-->Tina Leisch, die im Bereich Dokumentarfilm ausgezeichnet wird, Anna Jermolaewa für ihr Projekt „back to the silk routes. Site-specific project on Naschmarkt, Vienna 2010“ in der Sparte Interkultureller Dialog, Lotte Schreiber für ihr avantgardistisches Filmschaffen und Linda Bilda in der Kategorie Bildende Kunst. Caroline Heider erhält den „outstanding artist award“ für Künstlerische Fotografie, der Pianist und Komponist David Helbock in der Sparte Freie Musikformen (improvisierte Musik) und Barbara Hundegger für ihr literarisches Schaffen. Aus den Einreichungen im Bereich Video- und Medienkunst wurde Matthias Meinharter für den „outstanding artist award“ vorgeschlagen. Die Kulturtheoretikerin Elke Krasny wird in der Kategorie Frauenkultur für das Symposion „Frauen:Museum. Zwischen Sammlungsstrategie und sozialer Plattform“ ausgezeichnet. George Bezhanishvili, Absolvent der Modeklasse an der Universität
für angewandte Kunst Wien, erhält für seine extravaganten wie kontrastreichen Entwürfe – vornehmlich Männermode – ein einjähriges Arbeitsstipendium bei einem international tätigen Modedesigner.<br />

<em>Dirk Stermann</em> und <em>Christoph Grissemann</em> führen durch den Abend.
